What is the quantum year?

The year 2025 has been proclaimed the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology by the UN. This means that over 57 countries worldwide are celebrating quantum physics! In Germany, the DPG is taking the lead and realising the quantum year under the motto ‘Quantum2025 - 100 years is just the beginning...’.

How can I contribute?

The DPG calls on all organisations offering an event related to quantum physics to enter it in the calendar of events on this website! This is easily possible via the form at the top of the menu; the editorial team will check incoming entries and approve them.

DPG projects can be found on the topic pages - participation is possible here after individual consultation with the contact persons listed or via the contact form.

Can I use the logo?

The ‘Quantum2025’ logo is the logo of the national quantum year in Germany and is to be used together with the logo of the ‘International Year of Quantum Science and Technology’. The event or project should relate thematically to the quantum year and be in line with the objectives of the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology. If used digitally, the Quantum2025 logo must be linked to this website, www.quantum2025.de, and the IYQ logo must be linked to the international website www.quantum2025.org.
